ONTARIO, CALIF., June 4, 2012 — Pacific Coast Warehouse Company, often referred to as PCW or PCWC, is proud to celebrate 85 years of service. A long history of operations in California have helped PCW to become a sought after partner across multiple verticals.

Over the years PCW has had many notable milestones but here are few:

    • Founded in 1927 Pacific Coast Terminal Warehouse Company opens in Los Angeles.

    • In 1941 Pacific Coast was forced out of the then current facility by the military and moved to another location in Los Angeles.

    • After World War II in 1950 Pacific Coast moved to the Central Manufacturing District Terminal in Vernon.

    • The 70’s saw Pacific Coast name changed to the current Pacific Coast Warehouse Company and expand its service offerings to include Transportation to further service its customers.

    • The 80’s saw PCW expand to Northern California into Union City to service the Port of Oakland and beyond.

    • In 1987 PCW moved operations to Chino just prior to the 1988 Los Angeles earthquake that nearly destroys the previous facility in Vernon.

    • In 2011 PCW moved two Chino operations to a new state of the art facility in Ontario.

    • To date PCW operates three facilities, two in Southern (Ontario & Chino) and one in Northern (Newark) with a combined 70,000 pallet locations.

“Our longevity in the market speaks for itself. By always thinking service first and constantly looking how we can provide better and expanded services, we have been able to stay successful. We take great pride in our history and are always looking to learn from it.”
–Jim Marcoly, President, PCW

In 85 years of service PCW has become one of the finest 3rd party logistics (3PL) organizations in the Western United States by operating as an extension of their customers and focusing on service. PCW is a privately-owned company who understands that quality service, flexibility, technology, and value added services are required for effective supply chain management.  PCW currently operates multiple facilities in Southern and Northern California distributing goods ranging from food & beverages, apparel & footwear, electronics, beer wine & spirits, house wares, sporting goods to hazardous chemicals & industrial materials depending on the facility.
